Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited was incorporated in April 2005 as a private limited liability company under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179). The institution operates in Ghana’s financial sector as a subsidiary of its parent company, Zenith Bank Plc.

In September 2005, the Bank of Ghana granted Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited a universal banking licence, authorising its operations within the country.
